Current Progress: Constructing the Tool

We’re working this next week to fix bugs on entering in tobacco and hopefully importing in tobacco from tobaccocelllar.com. we want to very soon open up a beta for everyone to get in and try using and updating. We’ll be working on fixing some issues also with entering in your pipe info shortly.

Designing the “rating on the fly” system:

The site is using a core styling that is very handy for many graphical elements and styling but we are slowly tweaking little bits of it to improve the usability and make it look more like a proper pipe site.  An example of this is changing the rating system from stars to flames.

When you’re entering in your tobacco for the cellar or for an open amount you will have a quick at a glance way to rate the tobacco (or not if you haven’t smoked it).

The update to the rating will now be with on and off flame states instead of stars. Yes, I’m just showing you a very minor tweak, but all of these things add up to a much better user experience which is what we are aiming for.  Ease of use, and a very clean user interface that you can quickly use and enjoy.
